FEEDING AMERICA
October 2011

ASTRA students packaged 960 meals for children and 1080 pounds of beans in just 3 hours.

ASTRA Students, Katie Lepore and Lindsay Tarro deliver books purchased by The ASTRA Club of U.S.D. to Moore's Cancer Center on March 26, 2011. These books will be given to cancer patients to share with their children.

The ASTRA students participated on Sept. 11th (Sat.) in the “Sports 4 Exceptional Athletes Swim Meet” which was held at the Salvation Army Kroc Center. We had 23 students participate in this 4-hour event.

ASTRA students help Altrusa Literacy Committee make reindeer for the WellSprings Community School children for Christmas.

The ASTRA students of USD are participating in "Light One Little Candle" Project at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center. They purchased and delivered 100 children's books. "A Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Service" was awarded to the club.

Nazareth House

The ASTRA students visited the guests at the Care Center at The Nazareth House. They created original, beautiful reindeer filled with candy for the 130 residents.
