The Literacy Committee continues to help Trent with his autism needs. He has made a lot of progress working on speech through music. Literacy members, Susannah, Nansea, Literacy Chairman, Kathy and Sandy hand a check to Rita for The Good Reading Program.
The literacy committee and ASTRA students made a Dr. Seuss craft item and received a Dr. Seuss story book along with a bag of toys and a Project Linus blanket.
The literacy committee help the siblings at RMH make craft items. Each child received a book bag with books and toys to enjoy.

MS LORI, our adopted teacher, met with us for lunch to present educational literacy related items for her to use in her classroom.
Altrusa Club of San Diego members assisted Mike Meaney, owner of the San Diego Book Project by helping homeless veterans select and find books. The San Diego Book Project also provides books for our Ronald McDonald Library and The UCSD Cancer Hospital.
A Harvest and Dr. Seuss party are given each year to the children residing at the Ronald McDonald House. Project Linus is invited to participate by providing blankets to the children. The blankets provide comfort to the childrenduring this difficult time.
